Serious prayer is when we can raise our hearts and our minds to the feet of Jesus. He hears and answers us in the midst of our concerns. He is willing to show us that He loves us and that he is interested in every detail of our lives.
So do not hesitate to run to Him, to rely on Him and you will be so pleasantly surprised at how quickly he will respond. Sometimes too God requires us to wait for His response. We should never become despondent. Jesus knows exactly what we need and when we need it just as He knows about those we pray for.
Finally, we must also respond to the grace we already have. To practice our prayer, to attend the Sacrament of Reconciliation to attend Mass. These are signs that we are serious regarding our walk with God.
We fall often, Jesus also fell as He carried His cross. the difference is that when Jesus fell He always fell forward. When you fall the way to fall forward is to return quickly to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
So have confidence in God and His love for you. Set your life in order, and there will be no blockages between His heart and ours. From this, ask and you will receive, God has not left us to walk in fear, worry or anxiety. He is Both our Father and our God.
