Your presence and your words, as you conducted our clergy retreat two weeks ago, were truly inspirational.

Dear Brendan,

At the conclusion of your visit to our Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. I wish to thank you for being God’s instrument in bringing so many blessings to our local Church at every level.

Your presence and your words, as you conducted our clergy retreat two weeks ago, were truly inspirational.  My brother bishops and priests who were present demonstrated how powerfully they were moved during that week.  The way in which you nourished us with the Scriptures and the living tradition of the Church was quite marvelous.

Your work of evangelization in each of the deaneries had a very big impact on the lay people and religious who were fortunate to be with you.  You led them into the communion of the Blessed Trinity in a way which rekindled their faith in a very significant fashion.

For me, the most powerful aspect of your message was the way you so beautifully and honestly witnessed to the power of God’s love.  Thank you for that, Brendan, and for being the means of grace for me personally.  I shall never forget you. I was also greatly touched by your devotion to Our Lady.

I pray that your great work will continue in many parts of the world.  I feel you have a special place in God’s work of renewal and reconciliation.

Let us pray for each other, Brendan

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Power +
